Beautiful little Lou was born last year. I got to make her birth announcement card.
Her parents live near the Veluwe, so we chose a welcoming committee of the local wildlife. And in the center: the first animal she would meet. The cat of the family.

That was a productive day! I’m pretty content with the start of the purple series. None of the paintings are actually finised yet. These have only little stuff to be fixed.

When I was talking with a client last week about portraits, i was reminded of the cool illustrated portraits they have at our independent journalist platform ‘de Correspondent’. It inspired me to try out the style myself. I’m satisfied with the result. But trying the trick on other faces then my own proved to be a bit more of a challenge. But an enjoyable experiment nonetheless.
